Dung Beetle

Everybody has heard of the infamous dung beetle, so I though I should include it here.  Actually, there are hundreds of varieties, and some even live in the USA.  These creatures will spot a pile of dung (always as a male/female couple), and go to investigate.  They prefer herbivorous dung.  Next they will select the choicest portions and roll it into a massive ball.  Then they will dig a hole and roll the dung into the hole.  They will then lay eggs in the dung and die off.  The hatchlings eat the dung until they are old enough to go out into the real world and get some dung of their own.  I highly recommend this as a pet.  They are so easy to feed!  The ones pictured below are enjoying a nice course of zeebra dung.
